The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. Ch. 10, that a meeting of the Joint Brain, Behavioral, and Mental Health and Medical Health (BBMH/MED) Scientific Merit Review Board will be held July 13, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), via Microsoft Teams. The meeting will be open to the public from 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. EST virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The Committee provides expert review of the scientific quality, budget, safety, and mission-relevance of investigator-initiated research applications submitted for VA merit review consideration and to offer advice for research program officials on program priorities and policies.
