Rehabilitation Research and Development Service Scientific Merit Review Board - Robotic rehabilitation engineer work with an orthopedic doctor and a surgeon to create somatosensory robotic arms and hands for patients requiring advanced prosthetics or rehabilitation support.

Purpose

To provide advice on the fair and equitable selection of the most meritorious research projects for support by VA research funds; provide advice for research program officials on program priorities and policies; and ensure that the VA Rehabilitation Research and Development program promotes functional independence and improves the quality of life for impaired and disabled Veterans.
