
Carl B. McPherson Jr. joined the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Center for Minority Veterans (CMV) as a Program Support Assistant in March 2018. In this role, he provides operational and administrative support that helps advance the Center’s mission of promoting the use of VA benefits, services, and programs by minority Veterans.
Prior to joining CMV, Mr. McPherson served as a Warehouse Supervisor in the Property Management Division at the Department of Veterans Affairs, where he oversaw logistics operations and inventory management in support of VA programs and facilities. Mr. McPherson is also a U.S. Air Force Veteran, having served 14 years on active duty before separating in 2008. During his military service, he received several commendations, including the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with four oak leaf clusters, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
He holds an Associate’s Degree in Logistics from the Community College of the Air Force and has also completed coursework in Business Administration at Northern Virginia Community College. Mr. McPherson is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree, further strengthening his expertise in operations and program support.
