Ms. Chantile Stovall was appointed as the Executive Director of the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Service in June 2026. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing program and policy development for VR&E field operations at 56 Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) Regional Offices, 70 military installations, and 104 VetSuccess on Campus locations. She manages the execution of over $2.1 billion in direct benefits to Service members and Veterans with service-connected disabilities as they prepare for and obtain suitable employment.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Stovall served as the Assistant Director of the Seattle Regional Office, where she oversaw the Veteran Service Center, Decision Review Operations Center and Disability Rating Activity Site claims processing. She also held the roles of the Veterans Service Center Manager and Assistant Veterans Service Center Manager at the Baltimore Regional Office/National Capital Region Benefits Office (BRO/NCRBO). Ms. Stovall had oversight over 100 employees and management of the processing of disability claims and non-medical benefits for over 350,000 Veterans in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Additionally, she handled service delivery for Service members participating in the Integrated Disability Evaluation System, Benefits Delivery at Discharge and outreach initiatives.

With over 20 years of experience with VBA, Ms. Stovall began her career as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor in 2005 in Anchorage, Alaska. Her professional career includes various field and Central Office details, such as a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst in the Office of Administrative Review and as a Director in the Office of Business Integration. She has held Division Chief level positions in two of VBAs five lines of business. Ms. Stovall considers herself a life-long learner and has enjoyed mentoring several participants in VBA’s development programs.
