Christina DiTucci was appointed as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer for Budget and Policy in the Office of Financial Management (OFM) at the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) on May 19, 2024. As a key member of VBA’s senior leadership team, Christina provides expert advice and counsel in all financial management matters related to VBA’s $197 billion budget. The budget supports operations for more than 36,300 employees focused on providing benefits and services to Veterans, Service members, and their families in a way that honors their service to the nation. She leads a team of 70 employees and is responsible for providing executive oversight and direction of VBA’s budget, financial policies, and enterprise risk management.
Prior to this position, she served as the OFM Benefits Budget Staff Director, where she was responsible for four accounts and funding of over $166 billion in benefit payments to over 6 million Veterans and their families. She facilitated numerous cost estimates for legislation, rulemakings, and policy changes, making sure funding was available to implement changes.
