Joshua Quill is a senior executive with over 20 years of leadership experience spanning the U.S. Marine Corps, federal government, and private sector. Currently he serves as the Deputy Chief of Staff, where he advises senior leadership to shape departmental strategies, oversees policy implementation, and provides management oversight and administrative support across VA’s operations to advance the Department’s mission of delivering exceptional care and services to America’s Veterans.
Most recently Mr. Quill served as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he advised on operations, policy, and implementation of Presidential directives.
A proud Veteran, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 10 years.
His academic credentials include master’s degrees from Columbia University and The George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from American Military University. He is currently advancing his scholarly pursuits as a doctoral candidate at the University of Maryland’s Smith School of Business.
