Rob Henderson, Chief Operating Officer, VHA Procurement and Logistics Office

Rob Henderson serves as the Chief Operating Officer for VHA’s Procurement & Logistics Office (P&LO). In this role he supports all facets of P&LO’s mission to deliver integrated supply chain solutions to improve Veterans’ health and well-being. With annual expenditures of more than $15 billion and a staff of more than 3,000, the VHA P&LO is one of the largest procurement and logistics groups within the federal government.

Prior to this position, Rob served in a variety of civil service leadership positions throughout the federal government to include chief of Range and Airfield Operations at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah; strategy lead for Air and Marine Operations with U.S. Customs and Border Protection headquarters, Washington, D.C.; District 42 chief of staff for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, San Francisco Calif.; Office of Information Governance & Privacy chief of staff with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement headquarters in Washington, D.C.; and most recently as the director of Command Services with Naval Facilities and Engineering Systems Command headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Rob served as an officer in the U.S. military for 30 years. During his period of service, Rob held numerous leadership positions in support of Communications-Electronics Operations, Air Battle Management, Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Weapons & Tactics, Standardization & Evaluation, and Flying Operations.

Rob is a native of the Pacific Northwest and now considers Oregon home. He is also a lawyer and member of the Oregon State Bar.
