Sandra Flint was appointed Deputy Under Secretary for Field Operations in October 2025. In this capacity, she provides executive leadership and strategic oversight for four districts, 56 regional offices, and three national call centers within the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). She leads a dedicated workforce of more than 30,000 employees committed to delivering exceptional service to Veterans, their families, and survivors.
Ms. Flint is responsible for ensuring the efficient administration of compensation, pension, survivor, Veteran Readiness and Employment, education, appeals, and fiduciary programs. Under her leadership, VBA delivers approximately $160 billion in non-medical benefits annually to more than six million Veterans and beneficiaries, while overseeing the successful management of over 9.3 million calls in Fiscal Year 2025.
Her leadership reflects a steadfast commitment to operational excellence, accountability, and the continued improvement of services that honor the Nation’s Veterans.
