Appointment to the Advisory Committee on Tribal and Indian Affairs

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs (OPIA), Office of Tribal Government Relations (OTGR), is seeking nominations of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment as a member of the Advisory Committee on Tribal and Indian Affairs (“the Committee”) to represent the following Indian Health Service (IHS) Areas: Great Plains, Portland, Phoenix, Oklahoma City, Alaska, Albuquerque, Native Hawaiian, Urban Indian, and Member At-Large. Nominations for membership on the Committee must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on July 18, 2025.

Veterans’ Rural Health Advisory Committee

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. Ch. 10., that the Veterans Rural Health Advisory Committee will hold its virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams.

The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Secretary of VA on rural health care issues affecting Veterans. The Committee examines programs and policies that impact the delivery of VA rural health care to Veterans and discusses ways to improve and enhance VA access to rural health care services for Veterans.

Advisory Committee on Minority Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. ch. 10, that the Advisory Committee on Minority Veterans will meet virtually.

The Committee on Minority Veterans advises the Secretary of Veterans Affairs with respect to the administration of benefits by the Department for Veterans who are minority group members, by reviewing reports and studies on compensation, health care, rehabilitation, outreach, and other benefits and services administered by the Department.

Advisory Committee on Homeless Veterans

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. Ch. 10, that the Advisory Committee on Homeless Veterans (the Committee) will host a meeting virtually via Microsoft Teams.

The purpose of the Committee is to provide the Secretary of Veterans Affairs with an ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the policies, organizational structures, and services of VA in assisting Veterans at risk of and experiencing homelessness. The Committee shall assemble, and review information related to the needs of homeless Veterans and provide advice on the most appropriate means of assisting this Veteran population.

VA National Academic Affiliations Council

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. Ch. 10, that a meeting of the VA National Academic Affiliations Council (NAAC) will be held on August 13, 2025-August 14, 2025, at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, 1 Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417.

The purpose of the Council is to advise the Secretary on matters affecting partnerships between VA and its academic affiliates.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. Ch. 10, that the Advisory Committee on Disability Compensation (hereinafter the Committee) will hold virtual meeting sessions on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, and Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on the maintenance and periodic readjustment of the VA Schedule for Rating Disabilities (VASRD). The Committee is to assemble and review relevant information relating to the nature and character of disabilities arising during service in the Armed Forces, provide an ongoing assessment of the effectiveness of the rating schedule, and give advice on the most appropriate means of responding to the needs of Veterans relating to disability compensation.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) gives notice under the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C. ch. 10., that the Advisory Committee on Former Prisoners of War (Committee) will conduct a virtual meeting via the Webex platform.

The purpose of the Committee is to advise the Secretary of Veterans Affairs on the administration of benefits under title 38 U.S.C., for Veterans who are former prisoners of war and the needs of these Veterans, in the areas of compensation, health care, and rehabilitation.
