  • Section 0104 – Updated Roles and Responsibilities for Administrations and Staff Offices to standardize roles and responsibilities.
  • Section 010501 General Policies – Moved language from Overview to General Policies as part of the format update.
  • Section 010503 CFOC Administrative Functions – Changed section name to CFOC Administrative Functions to align with functions.

Volume I Chapter 01 – March 2021 Revisions

The following revisions to Volume I-General Accounting, Chapter 01-VA Financial and Accounting Policy Overview, were approved by the Chief Financial Officer’s Council (CFOC) on March 10, 2021.

  • Section 0104 – Updated roles and responsibilities for the Assistant Secretary for Management and Chief Financial Officer as requested by the Office of Financial Policy (047G). Policy was updated to address recent Public Law enactment.
  • Section 010502 – Added information from requiring VA CFO to participate in subordinate CFO interviews/selection and provide input on performance as requested by OFP (047G). Policy was updated to address recent Public Law enactment.
  • Section 010508 – Added information on requesting a waiver while operating in a declared emergency environment as requested by OFP (047G). Policy was added by waiter requests.
