Ms. Tandria M. Williams was appointed as the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12 Chief Nursing Officer, effective January 26, 2025. In this role, she assists in providing leadership support across 8 medical centers, 40 outpatient clinics, 8 nursing homes, and 7 domiciliaries, which serve almost 800,000 Veterans in 4 states (Illinois, Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Wisconsin, and Northwest Indiana).
In 2006, Ms. Williams began her career at the VA as a nursing assistant. During her VA tenure, she has served in many roles including staff nurse for Medical/Oncology Services, Assistant Nurse Manager (Medical/Oncology Services), Nurse Program Manager (Progressive Care and Medical-Surgical Services), and Chief Nurse/Division Manager (Acute Outpatient Nursing Services). She served as the Associate Director for Patient Care Services at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she was responsible for nursing practice and had programmatic oversight for Nursing Practice, Social Work Services, Rehabilitation Services, Nutrition & Food Services, and the Sterile Processing Division. Prior to her appointment as VISN 12 Chief Nursing Officer, she served as VISN 12 Acting Chief Nursing Officer.
Ms. Williams earned her Bachelor of Nursing Science degree from Mount Mary University and her Master of Science in Nursing and Master of Health Administration degrees from the University of Phoenix. Ms. Williams is a Health Care Leadership Development Program (HCLDP) graduate and holds a Certification in Executive Nursing Practice.
