George D. Eisenbach Jr serves as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Field Operations (DUSFO). As the CAO, he leads the day-to-day operations of OFO administrative staff and provides guidance to all VBA four Districts and 56 Regional Office Directors on behalf of DUSFO on matters involving Finance, Human Capital, or Media and Congressional Relations.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Eisenbach led the National Cemetery Administrations, Veterans Cemetery Grants Program as the Director, and Subject Matter Expert for the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a strategic planner and visionary, he was directly responsible for increasing access for Veterans and Families to State and Tribal Veteran Cemeteries. Using his leadership skills, he supported a system of 121 State and Tribal Veteran cemeteries in 46 States or Territories including Guam, Saipan, and Puerto Rico.
Mr. Eisenbach served in VA for over 22 years in various leadership roles to include Senior Protocol Officer to Secretary of Veterans Affairs, a cabinet level position. He is a transformational leader with years of mentoring organizations and teams to optimal success. He is an accomplished mentor, achieving Mentor of the Year for the Federal Asian Pacific American Council Program. Mr. Eisenbach retired from the U.S. Army, at the rank of First Sergeant
