Ms. Brower currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for the Office of Asset Enterprise Management, within VA’s Office of Management. In this role, she works with the Executive Director to ensure efficient and effective corporate-level management of VA capital assets to better serve Veterans and their families. She oversees the full life-cycle management of VA’s real property portfolio, one of the largest portfolios in the Federal Government. These responsibilities include developing effective department-wide governance policies and processes to support strategic planning and decision making related to the management of the Department’s capital assets. Ms. Brower also ensures that capital investments fully support the agency mission and strategic goals by employing strategic vision and managing VA’s inventory most effectively. This includes ensuring effective energy management, making prudent investments, measuring performance, and disposing or reusing assets that are no longer needed.
Prior to coming to the VA in 2021, Ms. Brower served as the Chief Engineer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). There she provided leadership and staff direction at the national level for construction, dam safety, bridge safety, seismic safety, environmental compliance, energy management and sustainability. She ensured that buildings and structures were responsive to activities, and were economical to acquire, operate, and maintain. She directed the formulation of the FWS construction requests and served on the USFWS Construction Investment Review Board.
