Ms. Meredith Bedenbaugh-Thomas serves as the Principal Senior Advisor for the Office of Acquisition, Logistics, and Construction (OALC). In this capacity, she collaborates closely with the Principal Executive Director, who holds the position of Chief Acquisition Officer for the Department, and the Deputy Principal Executive Director. Ms. Bedenbaugh-Thomas’s primary objective is to ensure consistent and positive outcomes for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.

Before assuming her current position, Ms. Bedenbaugh-Thomas was the Executive Director of the Enterprise Program Integration Office within the Office of Enterprise Integration. In this capacity, she acted as the integrator for the Department’s major transformational programs, ensuring effective synchronization among the Staff Offices and Administrations while implementing best practices in program management.

Since joining the VA in 2012, she has held several leadership roles, including directing the VA’s Transition Assistance Program. In this program, she educated over 477,000 transitioning service members and their families annually about essential VA benefits. Additionally, she developed the VA’s Operational Management Review performance management model, which improved the strategic oversight of significant initiatives.

Ms. Bedenbaugh-Thomas is a third-generation Veteran who served in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. She is a graduate of VA’s Senior Executive Service Candidate Development Program, holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, a Master of Arts in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. Policy and Politics from George Washington University. Additionally, she has achieved level III professional credentials in Federal Acquisition Certification Contracting (FAC-C) and Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM).
