Michele B. Terry is the Outreach Program Manager and works directly for the Executive Director. In accordance with the Center’s Congressional mandate (Public Law 103-44 6), she performs outreach nationwide to women Veterans, their family members, and organizations that support women Veterans, to ensure that they are knowledgeable of the benefits and services for which women Veterans are entitled. Her presentations influence the culture internally and externally to be more inclusive of the needs of women Veterans; advocate for and ensure the inclusion of women Veterans in Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) policy and practices.
She began her Federal service in the Center in October 2007 as Program Support. Her extensive career with the VA has afforded her rewarding opportunities to serve women Veterans nationwide. During her 15 years with the Center, she has served on numerous VA task forces and committees and is a tireless advocate and champion of organizations addressing women Veterans’ issues.
Prior to her coming to VA Central Office she worked in the private sector in the Chlor-Alkali Industry as a Publications Manager; and Sales/Marketing, Catering, and One Stop Shop at Woodley Park Hotel.
She is the proud mother of a Navy Veteran.
