Mrs. Shana Love Holmon serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, she advises senior leadership on the development and implementation of department-wide policies, programs and internal operations of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

She previously served as the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS) (2002-2003) and Chief of Staff (2018-2022) for the Office of Enterprise Integration.  OEI drives unity of effort across the Department in support of Veterans. OEI uses evidence, policy, and governance to create an integrated Department where strategy and resources are aligned to improve outcomes for Veterans.

Prior to joining OEI, Mrs. Love Holmon served as Chief of Staff for the VA Office of Acquisition, Construction and Logistics (OALC) from 2009 – 2017. OALC provides policy and oversight for VA’s $36B acquisition needs and manages VA’s major construction and leasing program to support the largest integrated health care system in the United States.

Mrs. Love Holmon holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Lincoln University and a Master of Science degree from Purdue University. She began her federal career in 2007 as a program manager at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). She is an 1890 Scholar, Thurgood Marshall Scholar, a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority. Mrs. Love-Holmon has received several Federal awards including the Office of Management and Budget’s Gears of Government Award, a White House Closing the Circle Award, and a Secretarial Commendation for her efforts on delivering various enterprise and Federal initiatives.
