Enterprise Program Integration

Our mission is to integrate critical resources, policies, and systems for high-priority initiatives across VA to improve the delivery of care and benefits for Veterans and their families.

The Enterprise Program Integration Office serves as VA’s leading integrator for major transformational efforts, providing cross-organizational synchronization to ensure consistent, positive outcomes for the improvement of services for our stakeholders.

The office strategically integrates major initiatives, synchronizing scope, schedules, and costs and managing inter-dependencies, risks, and program transition points. The office seeks to reinforce VA leadership’s commitment to an execution mindset that encourages leaders to synchronize efforts and promote effective communications that inform stakeholders and reinforce positive behaviors.

Enterprise Program Integration Services

The office is dedicated to integration efforts across VA Administrations and Staff Offices. The team is responsible for coordinating and driving integration to achieve key VA priorities. The office manages execution and implementation coordination for major initiatives, which allows VA senior leaders to make informed decisions and correct courses of action as needed. The services include:

  • Proactively identifying barriers or opportunities for enterprise integration of resources, policies, and systems to successfully execute VA initiatives through lessons learned and a comprehensive after-action analysis.
  • Assessing the performance of identified fiscal year priority initiatives to ensure programs execute timely and desired outcomes, milestones, and performance measures.
  • Rapidly evaluating strategic risks, operational challenges, and coordination of enterprise problem-solving teams to develop mitigation and solution strategies.

Supporting OEI business lines, as needed, to inform or enhance the execution of their respective missions via the identification of integration opportunities and/or new emerging enterprise risks.

Directorates

The Enterprise Program Integration Office comprises two directorates, Operational Management and Rapid Response (OMRR) and Strategic Execution (SE), coordinating simultaneously to drive integration, program management, performance measurement, change management, and risk management across the enterprise:

Operational Management and Rapid Response (OMRR) proactively monitors strategic drivers to identify, assess, and prioritize integration and enterprise risks in support of initiatives and operational analysis.

Strategic Execution (SE) provides an enterprise-level, structured, and routine approach to review the progress of strategic initiatives to enable timely, transparent, and open communications, collaborative coordination, and cross-organizational problem solving.
