Rural Engagement
VA believes all Veterans deserve timely access to world class healthcare and earned benefits, no matter where they live. VA also recognizes that the health and well-being of Veterans is influenced by the community where they live. The Office of Rural Engagement (ORE) is bringing together VA, rural communities, and federal agencies to improve the health and well-being of the 4.7 million Veterans that live in rural communities.
Purpose
The purpose of ORE is to leverage the strengths and resources of the federal government, the Department of Veteran Affairs and Veterans themselves to help build resilient rural communities to ultimately improve the health and well-being of rural Veterans.
Mission
Our mission is to serve rural Veterans by connecting VA programs and policies to their unique needs and by using a whole-of-government approach to support rural Veterans and the communities in which they live.
Vision
Our vision is to transform how the VA partners with and delivers access to health care and benefits to rural communities across the United States. By working with the Rural Partners Network (RPN), ORE will bring the federal government to Veterans across rural America.
Rural Partners Network
Rural Partners Network (RPN) was created to ensure rural Americans can have every thrive and can find those opportunities right at home in rural America. RPN brings together federal agencies to help rural communities through job creation, infrastructure development, and community improvement.
