Yes. You have full control over your schedule and can share only the days and times that work for you.

VA staff use EPS to schedule an initial consult for a new referral. Follow-up appointments are scheduled directly between you and the Veteran.

No. EPS has over 150 integrations with community EHR and scheduling systems, plus partnerships with health care industry leaders.

EPS is FedRAMP High-authorized and HIPAA-compliant, meeting 421 security controls under the NIST SP 800-53

No. Participation in EPS is completely optional. Providers can continue receiving Veteran referrals through their current processes.

Contact VA to cancel or reschedule an appointment scheduled through EPS using the contact information within the associated referral packet. Following up with a VA scheduler directly ensures rescheduling and all necessary updates to the referral authorization are done right away.

No. VA delivers all veteran records and medical history within referral authorization packets via your preferred means (e.g. fax, secured email, Veterans Health Information Exchange, HealthShare Referral manager). Soon, EPS will allow VA and you to send referral packets digitally.
