Corporate Senior Executive Management Office
The Corporate Senior Executive Management Office (CSEMO) provides strategic and operational centralized HR services on the human capital programs for all Department of Veterans Affairs senior executives including the Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Level (SL) employees, Title 38 SES Equivalents, and political appointees. This centralized approach supports the Department of Veterans Affairs’ ability to cultivate the most highly qualified cadre of people-centric, results-driven, and forward-looking senior executives committed to serving Veterans and their Families. CSEMO also services Schedule C employees, consultants/experts, and Veterans Law Judges (VLJ). CSEMO services over 700 employees Departmentwide.
Activities
- Develop, implement and administer policies affecting senior executives;
- Manages the Department’s allocations;
- Provides support and manages the Executive Resources Board;
- Respond to legislative requests impacting the SES;
- Provides centralized HR services including staffing, recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, position classification and allocation, executive development, talent management and performance management;
- Oversees the SES Candidate Development Program.
