No Veteran should be homeless in the country they swore an oath to defend. That’s why VA is committed to ending homelessness among Veterans.
Through a range of homeless-related Veteran services, VA provides help for Veterans and their families through access to secure, stable housing and other supportive services.

VA Announces FY27 Homeless Veteran Programs Grant Awards
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced FY2027 grant awards through its Grant & Per Diem (GPD) and Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) programs. These grants will support community organizations working to prevent and end Veteran homelessness by helping Veterans and their families access housing assistance, case management, and other critical services.
